This Metal Mesh Air Filter / Range Hood Filter is made of standard bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media in an aluminum frame channel. This is a better quality bonded aluminum mesh filter than the one that is standard with nearly all residential electronic air cleaners and the one used for range hood filters and micro wave hood filters. It is a washable, permanent, bonded aluminum metal mesh air filter / range hood filter and is satisfactory for use in both applications. The frame channel is hand closed so it grips the filter media more securely. All corners are hammered to remove any sharp edges and hammering also helps close the frame channel very firmly on the filter media, giving both the frame channel and the filter media more strength in the corner areas. Our standard duty aluminum frame channel is heavier duty than the frame channel used by other manufacturers, and has rounded edges so it won't split like most of the lighter duty sharp edged filter frame channels. The frame channel is secured on one corner by an aluminum rivet and that corner is flattened so the rivet seats more firmly. Although it is commonly called a 3/8" thick bonded aluminum metal mesh filter, the actual thickness is 5/16". It can also be squeezed to 1/4" or 1/8" in thickness for applications requiring thinner filters. We also make a heavy duty version of this filter by using an even heavier duty frame channel and adding a layer of heavy duty flattened expanded aluminum on either side of the bonded aluminum mesh pad.No one else makes a filter like this one. This is a superb quality metal mesh air filter / range hood filter and will function well for long periods with normal cleaning maintenance.
This Metal Mesh Air Filter / Range Hood Filter is made of 1 layer of bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media enclosed in a lipped aluminum frame. The frame is hand closed for greater gripping power of the frame to the filter media. All corners are hammered to remove any sharp edges, but also to enhance the holding power of the frame to the filter media in the corner areas. This gives the filter more rigidity and durability for longer life under heavy use. All frame edges are rounded so they won't split like sharp edged frames do. The frame is riveted on one corner with an aluminum rivet and that corner is flattened so the rivet seats and grips more firmly. This is a thicker version of the standard bonded aluminum metal mesh air filter / range hood filter described above and will serve you well in all the same applications where a thicker filter is required. Normal cleaning maintenance will enable this filter to function as a quality air filter / range hood filter for an extended period. Because of the quality of the materials used and the way it is constructed, this bonded aluminum metal mesh air filter / range hood filter is of better quality and is more durable than the normal 1/2" metal mesh filter. Although this filter is commonly listed as a 1/2" metal mesh filter, the actual thickness is 3/8". This metal mesh air filter / range hood filter is used as a range hood filter, a micro wave hood filter, an air cleaner pre-filter and other residential and commercial applications. We make an even heavier duty version of this filter also by adding a layer of heavy duty flattened expanded aluminum on each side of the aluminum mesh pad.No one else makes a filter like this one either.
This Metal Mesh Air Filter / Range Hood Filter is made of 1 layer of bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media and 2 layers of heavy duty expanded aluminum face guard and is enclosed by a heavy duty lipped aluminum frame. This Metal Meah Air filter / Range Hood Filter is made in the standard Good Filter Company tradition of hand closing the frame and hammering all corners for smoothness and firmer gripping of the frame to the filter media. The frame is of extra heavy duty, ridged, aluminum and is secured on one corner with an aluminum rivet on a flattened surface for more solid holding power. The key to this metal mesh air filter / range hood filter's extra strength, rigidity and durability is the layers of expanded aluminum face guard on both the front and the back of the filter. The expanded aluminum face guard gives this metal mesh air filter / range hood filter more rigidity and durability because it is stronger and stiffer than the bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media and it doesn't stretch, wrinkle or break like exposed bonded aluminum metal mesh can sometimes do. Because it doesn't stretch or wrinkle like exposed aluminum metal mesh sometimes does, it will continue to slide smoothly in and out of filter frame guide channels without catching or hanging, even after much heavy use. This is a very good metal mesh air filter / grease filter and will give excellent service under heavy usage for a longer period than other metal mesh filters of this thickness. Although it is commonly listed as a 1/2" thick filter, the actual thickness is 7/16".

It is enclosed in a standard light duty aluminum frame. The frame on this metal mesh air filter is a standard light duty aluminum frame channel. It is hand closed and the corners are hammered for smoothness so there are no sharp edges to hang up on fingers or filter frames. The corrugated expanded aluminum and multi-layer bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media gives exceptional rigidity and strength to this economy duty filter. It is an excellent metal mesh air filter for light to medium volume air flows and it's price makes it very cost effective. This metal mesh air filter has over twice the thickness of multiple layer bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media as the economy duty metal mesh air filter described above.It also has a layer of medium duty expanded aluminum on each side to pre-filter the air as well as protect the inner bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media. This metal mesh air filter has a medium duty one piece aluminum frame and is hand closed with an aluminum rivet on one corner. The corners are hammered to remove any sharp edges and the frame is rounded so it won't split like sharp edged frames sometimes do. Although this metal mesh air filter is listed as standard duty, it has over twice the bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media as other standard duty filters. The extra bonded aluminum metal mesh filter media not only provides greater efficiency, it also gives this filter extra strength not found in comparably rated filters.
