MODELS Cascade Air Purifiers were created to control the problem of indoor air pollution such as tobacco smoke, allergy causing pollen and mold spores, common house dust, and a variety of commercial and industrial contaminants. They are available in three series, 250, 600, and 1200, which cover air treatment applications from personal and residential to commercial and industrial. Individual purifiers in the Cascade family service areas from 80 to 1000 square feet. All models share the common features of: "Media-type" filtration - no snapping and popping, no ozone generation, easy care maintenance, plus clean and safe disposability. Versatile features - single and dual intake models, variable speed blowers, fully adjustable diffusers, several mounting options, and optional filters available to meet most indoor air quality problems. Attractive design - Genuine oak and brushed aluminum trim, contemporary color choice. Certification - Certified to meet UL Standard 507 and CSA C22.2 No. 113. Air Flow Configurations Cascade Air Purifiers come in two configurations, single and dual intake models. The traditional single intake design is configured so that untreated air is pulled in from one end of the purifier, filtered, and blown out the other end. Cascades unique dual intake models draw air in from both ends, and exhausts the filtered air out through the side. This arrangement is particularly useful in irregularly shaped rooms. Also, these models can have the economic advantage of serving the function of two single intake purifiers in large rooms. Special knowledge is required to properly determine the model type, quantity, and placement of air purifiers for a specific application. Some factors which influence that decision are: room volume and shape, ceiling height, function of the space, furniture, sources of turbulence such as windows, doors and overhead fans, and structural or other physical elements which disrupt airflow patterns. A qualified indoor air quality expert with familiarity of the project should be involved in any layout determination. Three Types of Filtration: Cascade Air Purifiers utilize a three stage filtration sequence. The first two stages mechanically collect particulate matter such as dust and smoke particles. The third stage chemically adsorbs fumes and gasses from the air.
